<div itemprop="description">CAIN, Dorothy &quot;Dora&quot; (Beals), age 93 of North Preston passed away peacefully in her sleep October 27, 2011 at the Bissett Court Nursing Home. Born in North Preston, Nova Scotia she was the daughter of the late Amy and Percey Simmonds and stepmother Amelia Brown. Dora was a member of the St. Thomas United Baptist Church, she enjoyed knitting and playing her harmonica. She is survived by her daughters Pearl, Marjorie, Evelyn (Ralph), Yvonne, Jennifer, Tina, Rhoda (Donald), Violet and Abby, sons Melvin (Pearl), James (Alvina), Ronnie, Raymond (Evelyn), Beazley (Jess), Wayne, Bobby, Purcell and Stephen, sisters Ethel and Winnifer, brother Thomas, 61 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, 47 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and God children Calvin Glasgow and Veronica Simmonds. Predeceased by her husband James Cain Sr., daughter Vennie, sons Angus and Jarvis, sisters Mildred, Mary, Maureen and Eveleen, brothers Leo, Burt, Henry, Gilbert and Alfred. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 pm Tuesday in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main St. Dartmouth. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Wednesday at St. Thomas Baptist Church, North Preston Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Burial in St. Thomas Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Thomas United Baptist Church.</div>
