Dorothy Williams
April 16, 1929 - June 24, 2015
Williams, Dorothy Mae (nee Ewing) Age 86, of East Preston. Passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital on Wednesday June 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lavinia (Crawley) Ewing. She was a member of the East Preston United Baptist Church for over 70 years. She was a domestic housekeeper for many years and a stay at home Mom. She is survived by her daughters; Maxine Grant (Donald), Mississauga, ON, Marlene Brown (Terry), Halifax, Angela (Thomas) Toronto, Elaine (Perry), Cole Harbour, her sons; Steven, Toronto, Victor (Wendy), East Preston and Foster, of Dartmouth; eleven grandchildren five great grandchildren, her sister Florence (Ewing) Williams, sisters in law Gloria (Saunders) Ewing, Dartmouth, Mary Colley, East Preston and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband John, her sister Joyce (Ewing) Gough, her brother Cyril Ewing, Dartmouth, brothers in law Reginald and Keith Williams. Mom enjoyed reading, doing word find and crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy was a woman who was loved by all who spent time with her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Mom always greeted you with a warm smile. Mom was always thinking of others before herself. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or special occasion, and was always sure to send along a gift. She will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Monday June 29, 2015 at East Preston United Baptist Church 206 Upper Partridge River Road from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm. Reverend Joyce Ross officiating. Burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses on 8.4 the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre. Special thank you to Dr. Bussey and Dr. MacSwain.
