<div itemprop="description"><br />Dares, Dennis <br />It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father and grandfather Dennis Dares on April 26th 2014. He was born May 19th 1945 to the late Harry Dares and Beatrice Gilliam. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Richard and Jeffery (Vanessa) as well as grandchildren Courtney, Dominique, Michelle, Devon, Brandon, Scott, Ciera and great-granddaughter Courteya. Dennis is also survived by siblings Ronald, Kathy (Wayne), Betty (Allen), Patricia (Paul Brown) and Kimberly (David). Dennis was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. He was employed by Phillips Cables for 20 years and later in security before enjoying retirement with his wife Mary. He was a hard working man that lived for the joys of his family and could always be accounted for a good practical joke. Another great passion of his was the company of his dog Nike. He had made a number of good friends during his daily dog walks with his dear friends Sandy , Chris &amp; Roz. Through this tremendous loss; the family finds comfort in the fact that he is no longer pained by his long courageous battle with tracheal cancer .A special Thank You To Dennis&rsquo;s sisters Kathy ,Betty ,Pat ,Kim ;his brother Tippy ; his cousin Carol and his niece Angie who helped ease his suffering during his last days. Thank you to all the staff at DGH on 3 east ;without whom we would never had stayed strong. A celebration of life is being held Tuesday April 29,2014 at 2 pm. <br /></div>
