<div itemprop="description">David Wayne Lynch age 69 of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at the Victoria General Hospital on Friday July 8, 2016. <br> <br>Born in Saint John, New Brunswick he was the son of Arthur Leburton Lynch and Evelyn Mae (Robinson) Lynch of Saint John, New Brunswick. <br> <br>David was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the Insurance industry for 41 years and retired in April 2007. Outside of work and in retirement he loved spending time with family and friends, making day trips with his wife, travelling to New England with friends and generally enjoying the simple pleasures in life. <br> <br>David is survived by his wife of 47 years Phyllis H. (Colwell) Lynch. Additionally, he is survived by daughter Charlene Heather (Lynch) Connors and son Bradley Wayne Lynch including their respective spouses Patrick Connors of Halifax and Yang Fan (Jessica) of Beijing, PRC. <br> <br>David is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Madison Elizabeth Connors and Hunter Wayne Connors of Halifax as well as several nieces and nephews. <br> <br>David came from a large family of 7 children. His sister Pauline (Lynch) Merritt and brothers Charles Lynch, Terry Lynch, Ralph Lynch, Dale Lynch and Dana Lynch were also born in Saint John, New Brunswick. <br> <br>David was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Evelyn and brothers Ralph and Dale. <br> <br>As per David’s wishes, he will be cremated and a celebration of life will take place Thursday July, 14th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth Chapel, Oceanview Lounge (771 Main Street). <br> <br>In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. <br> <br>The celebration of life gathering is intended to be a casual affair. There will be no formal service and casual dress is encouraged. Close family friend Jack Harley will speak, but anyone who wishes to share their memories of David are welcome to speak as well.
