David Nieforth
February 17, 1944 - July 12, 2013
NIEFORTH, David K. – 69 of Seaforth, died July 12, 2013, in the Twin Oaks Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Viola (Johnsen) Nieforth. David served with The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, he worked for a number of years as an iron worker, in construction, and in later years a fishermen. He was a member of Connaught Lodge No. 501 in Ontario and affiliated to Ashler Lodge No. 107 in 2010; past patron of Scotia Chapter No. 49 of O.E.S.; member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 160. He is survived by his wife the former June St. Croix; two sons Aaron and Dale (Aleasha Theriault); one daughter, Wendy-Dawn (Greg MacDonald); two step-daughters, Leah Tate and Ruth Burns; two brothers, Donald (Evelyn), Earl (Joan); three sisters, Kathleen (Mangiafico), Mary (Eddie Everett), Christina (Ron Lowerison); three grandchildren, Alex, Marina, Ivy; many nieces and nephews; he was predeceased by sister Carol (Little). The body has been cremated. Family and Friends are invited to attend Mason and Eastern Star services to be held on Wednesday, July17, at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Gaetz Brook at 7pm.
