<div itemprop="description"> <p> Marnitz, Cynthina Agatha age 84 of Dartmouth passed away August 25, 2012 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Grahamstown, South Africa she was the daughter of the late Agnes and Jonathan Jewiss. She was an RN and worked for many years in Fisherman&rsquo;s Memorial Hospital in Harbourview Haven Retiremant Home in Lunemberg. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996 and studied Theology at AST. She loved to sing and play piano and was a member of many choirs including the senior&rsquo;s choir, St. John&rsquo;s, St. Andrew&rsquo;s and the church of the Holy Spirit. She was a lay reader and active member in her church. She is survived by daughters, Alison (Brian) Clyke, Megan (Philip) Tretheway; son, Athol (Trina) Marnitz; sister, Eugene Simon; grandchildren, Stephen (Samantha) Clyke, Quinn Marnitz, Carolina Tretheway, Bailey Marnitz and Syndey Marnitz; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Leonard Marnitz; brother, Melville Jewiss. There will be no visitation at her request. Funeral service will be held in The Church of the Holy Spirit, Gaston Rd., Dartmouth on Tuesday, August 28, at 2pm. Rev. Edwin Ebsary officiating. Burial will take place in Dartmouth Memorial Garden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Branch. The family would like to thank Clarmar for the wonderful care over the past year and thanks to the caring doctors and nurses of Dartmouth General Hospital for all the special care she received this past week.
