<div itemprop="description">SMITH-Cain, Cynthia &ldquo;Dimples&rdquo;- 52 of North Preston - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear loved one on Tuesday April 21st 2015, at the QEII Health Science Centre. Born on January 27th 1963 in Halifax, NS, She was the daughter of Rev. Wallace and Frances Smith and bonus parents the Late Bernard and Gladys Cain. She was a devoted member of Saint Thomas Baptist Church. Her love for God and doing his work led her to minister through Hallelujah Praise Choir, Mass Choir, Women&rsquo;s Missionary Society, Conquerors for Christ, as Sunday school teacher and student. Cindy was a beautiful, kind and caring Christian woman, who was fortunate to influence the lives of many. She gained several great friendships through her personal and work life. She encouraged others to get to know the God she served. She was an exceptional human being. She was employed with Metropolitan Regional Housing Authority for the past 16 years. She is survived by her most prized gift from God, her Daughter Cyntisha (Alfonz) Simmonds, her treasured Granddaughters, L&rsquo;jayah, and Jezreon, and her &ldquo;Main little man&rdquo; Grandson, NiJayen, who she adored, all of Calgary; Sisters, Roxanne (Michael) Smith, Kienya (O&rsquo;Bryan)Booker, both of North Preston, Charlene (Peter)Downey, Cherry Brook Halifax; Tyra Cain -Halifax Brothers, Wallace Jr. (Maureen)Smith, of North Preston, Anthony &rdquo;Tony&rdquo; Smith , of Toronto; Sister in Law Justine Smith; Evangeline Cain-Grant who was raised with Cynthia; Godchildren, Justin Smith, Kayla Smith, Kolieya Smith and Marty Cain; God- mothers Mrs. Ivory Provo, and Madeline Smith; Several nieces and nephews who she loved and was very proud of. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents Oscar Smith and Rachel. <br />Visitation will take place on Monday April 27th , 2 to 4pm Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main St. Dartmouth and 7 to 9 pm Saint Thomas Baptist Church North Preston where funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday April 28th.
