<div itemprop="description">GREGG, (Archer) Cynthia Anne -62 of Lawrencetown, passed away on June 20, 2015 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII with family and friends by her side. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Paddy and Valory (Mowat) Gregg. Cynthia is survived by her brothers, Michael (Kim), Lawrencetown; Sean (Betty), Pago Pago, American Samoa; step-mother, Christine Morris, Fredericton, NB; step-sisters, Jane Gregg (Nick), Fredericton, NB; Kate (Ian), Ottawa, Ont.; step-brother, Bill, Fredericton, NB; nieces and nephew, Sarah, Justin, Genevieve, Valory and Naomi. Cynthia grew up in Bayside and was educated in Halifax area schools. She eventually found her niche when she joined ATV becoming director of the six o&rsquo;clock newscast. Her proudest achievement was the role she played in the development of Christmas Daddies alongside her mentor, Jim Hill. Always curious, she developed another career as the hard-charging Executive Assistant to Russ Ramsey at the Industrial Accident Prevention Association in Toronto, a city she loved for its food, theatre and diversity. She returned to Halifax on the death of her mother and once again, demonstrated her organizational skills as Executive Assistant to Jim Fitzgerald, Head of Engineering at Eastlink. Cynthia was an amazing cook, having learned well from her mother and father and grandmother. Her rum-soaked cakes and lobster chowders were among her crowning achievements. Cynthia grew up with dogs but became a self-described &ldquo;crazy cat lady&rdquo; in her years and will be dearly missed by her cats Lola and KayCee. She loved movies and reading, a trait she inherited from both parents. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on June 29, 2015 from 6:00 pm &ndash;8:00 pm in the Atlantic Funeral Home Reception Room, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank Nurse Julia Stackless of IMCU for the kind and dignified care she provided to Cynthia during her final journey in life and also the phalanx of doctors, nurses, nursing aides &amp; ward friends who worked so hard to try and return her to health over the years. On-line condolences may be made by visiting the Dartmouth Chapel at: www.atlanticfuneralhomes.ca</div>
