Curley Allison Clayton
March 11, 1939 - April 20, 2016
Clayton, Curley Allison, age 76 years of Dartmouth, passed away on April 20, 2016 in the V.G. Site, QEII Hospital in Halifax.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Christina and Amos Clayton.
Curley worked as a sandblaster and drywaller, but his passion was singing and dancing.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Rose Clayton; sons Antron Clayton of Dartmouth and Cruz Dixon of Toronto, Ont.; sisters Beulah Clayton, Hilda (Eric) Brooks, Windsor Clayton, all of North Preston, and Rona Cain of Halifax; brothers Gable, Carson and Sisco, all of North Preston; 24 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 5 nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brothers Mitchell and Stephen; sisters Audrey and Newley.
No visitation by request. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 1pm from St. Thomas Baptist Church, 35 Simmonds Road, North Preston with Rev. Wallace Smith officiating. Burial to follow in the Downey Road cemetery.
Flowers are welcome. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
