<div itemprop="description"> <p> <b> BONVIE </b> , Charles Henry Jr.&nbsp;- Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully on August 19, in the Dartmouth General Hospital. He was born June 6, 1934, to Charles Henry Bonvie and Janet Anne O&rsquo;Connor in Afton, Nova Scotia. &#8232;Charles (Maxie) grew up in Afton attending High school in Truro, Nova Scotia.&nbsp; He graduated from Miss Murphy&rsquo;s business college. &nbsp;Maxie worked in the first Co-Op store in Antigonish, NS and worked with his father, Charles senior, on the Canso Causeway with T.C. Gorman.&nbsp; Later in life, Maxie worked at the Canadian Pacific Railway and that is where he met Marilyn McVicar. The two were married July 16, 1960 in St. George, New Brunswick. &nbsp;Maxie worked at the CBC, first in radio, then in television, as an audio technician on shows like&nbsp;Don Messer&rsquo;s Jubilee,&nbsp;Sing Along Jubilee, &nbsp;and finally Land And Sea.&nbsp; Charles was an excellent carpenter building homes and furniture.Charles was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn Bonvie in 2007.&nbsp; Maxie is survived by three children; Maria, California, and his twin sons, Joe (Trish), Lower Sackville and Gene, Halifax, as well as four grandsons and three granddaughters, two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. &nbsp;Maxie has one surviving sister, Janet (Rod) McLean and was predeceased by both of his parents. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23&nbsp;from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr.&nbsp;&#8232;Funeral mass Wednesday, August&nbsp; 24&nbsp;at St. Elizabeth Seton Roman Catholic Church, Lower Sackville, Father Robert&nbsp;Arsenault,&nbsp;officiating.&nbsp;&#8232;Reception to follow in the church hall.&nbsp;Burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in&nbsp;Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.&nbsp;&#8232;In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Lung Association. </p> </div>
