<div itemprop="description">PIZIO, Carol Ann, age 62, of Dartmouth, passed away on Tuesday June 16, 2015 peacefully at home, surrounded by her four daughters. <br />Born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, she was a daughter of Shirley and R.J. &ldquo;Rudy&rdquo; Pizio, of Thunder Bay, Ont. <br />Carol Ann worked in Human Resources for the Province of Nova Scotia for many years before retiring in 2012. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed beautifying her home which was the gathering place for her family. She loved to travel and sought adventure. Most of all, she loved spending time with and teaching her 10 grandchildren the joys of living life to the fullest. <br />Carol Ann is survived by her daughters, Launa Sutherland (Mike Jessiman), Julie-Ann (John) Boucher, Deborah (Jason) Hercun, Tina (Dan) Allen; grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Mac, and Sydney; Hannah and Abby; Carter and Avery; Connor and Megan. She is also survived by her brother, David (Phyllis); and sister, Michelle (Bryan) Roberts; and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her special friend, Colin Read and her partner in crime, Sandra Himelman. <br />Carol Ann was predeceased by her brother, Michael. <br />Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 20 at 2pm in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow.
