<div itemprop="description">March, Brian Reginald, age 67, of Dartmouth.<br />With great sadness, the family of Brian Reginald March announces his passing, at home, on September 6, 2015. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Dorothea Eveleen (Bryden) Everett and the late Walter Reginald March. He was a graduate of Mount Allison University, BA (Music) &amp; B.Ed., and taught music in Sackville, N.B. and Dartmouth, N.S. Brian inspired many people with his teaching and passion for music. He conducted the Dartmouth Community Concert Band and the Port City Concert Band, and played in a saxophone quartet. He played clarinet and all ranges of saxophone. Brian was awarded a lifetime membership in the Nova Scotia Band Association in 2011 for outstanding contribution to music and bands in Nova Scotia. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox and Bruins, and was an avid reader. Brian is survived by his wife, Ruth (Lapp) March, his daughter, Elizabeth March, his mother, and several cousins, in-laws and step brothers. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth, on Thursday September 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the Port Wallis United Church, 263 Waverley Road, Dartmouth, on Friday September 11 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brian's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
