<div itemprop="description">Clements, Augustus &ldquo;Gus&rdquo; &ndash; age 72 of Dartmouth. Passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Carrigan) Clements. Gus&rsquo; love for his family was an inspiration to anyone that had the good fortune of witnessing it. He loved them fiercely, he had a great sense of humour and loved a good laugh. Gus never missed a hockey or baseball game, he was the grandchildren&rsquo;s biggest fan. He had a heart of gold and helped anyone in need. Gus is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley (Purcell);son, William (Denise), Dartmouth; daughters, Ella (Tommy) FitzGerald, Dartmouth, Lesley (Eric) Crowther, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Shane (Alayna) Clements, Louis (Shandelle) Clements, Jake (Jennifer) Clements, Alex Clements, Miranda FitzGerald, Shaila Gray, Tanner FitzGerald, Savannah Gray, Kaitie FitzGerald, Noah Clements-Crowther; great grandchildren, Jacob, Mack, Tyson, Alaiha, Kali, Braiden, Bryson, Briella, Lariah; brothers Gary, Moncton, Charlie, New Waterford, William, Dartmouth, Thomas, Ontario, Freeman, Ontario; sisters, Dorothy Bishop, Lingan, Ethel Desalvo, Ontario, Emerence Burke, New Waterford, Gatha Crowell, Porters Lake and many, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by daughter, Tracy Clements (Gray); brothers, John, Wilfred, Russell, Edward; sisters, Ella, Pauline, as well as three brothers in infancy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1pm Wednesday, September 10 followed by a reception both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street Dartmouth. Interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. We would like to thank friends, family and neighbours who have supported the family these last few months. Also thank you to the doctors and nurses in Dartmouth General Hospital.
