<div itemprop="description">Chisholm, Alexander Francis (Frank) At the age of 78, Frank passed away on September 4, 2015. Affectionately known to his family as &ldquo;Big Frank, Grampy and Grampy 2&rdquo;, he is survived by his loving family: children Sheila of Halifax; Karen (Diego) of New York; Francis (Sian) of Dartmouth; Paul (Tracy) of Toronto and Sharon of Ottawa; grandchildren Sarah, Rhys, Morgan and Annika; his sisters Mae, Augustine and Doreen; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother Bill and sisters Mary and Rita. <br /><br />Frank was the son of the late John Francis Alexander and Margaret (MacNeil) Chisholm. Born and raised in Long Point, Cape Breton, he moved to Dartmouth in 1963 and made it is his long-term home where he raised his family. An industrial electrician by trade, Frank worked for several Maritime companies including Halifax Metal Workers, Maloney Steel, M&amp;M Manufacturing. He believed in supporting his community. He was active with Saint Thomas Moore Parish, the Boy Scouts and Senobe Aquatic Club. Equally proud to support his children he would often be seen cheering their success from the sidelines &ndash; be it fiddling contests when they were young or personal milestones as they grew. He was a loyal and devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and the New England Patriots, an avid reader, Sudoku and puzzle fan, and a faithful listener of Seaside FM. <br /><br />He was known for his quiet wit and great stories that he often shared over Sunday coffee while watching the paddlers on Lake Banook. He was deeply loved and we will miss him dearly.<br /><br />Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Monday, September 7 with a Funeral service 10am Tuesday, September 8 in Atlantic Funeral Homes, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Reception to follow in funeral home.
